Win back cancelled subscribers.
Now in Claude.
Ask Claude how to bring back the subscribers your app lost this month, what that could be worth, and what Apple allows. Answers come straight from Winback's free, read-only MCP server, with a source on every Apple fact.
Free. No API key. Read-only, and it never sees your data. Then ask: “We lost 200 cancels, 80 billing failures and 300 expired trials this month at $9.99. What could a win-back bring back?”
Five questions, answered by the tools
Each answer below is the actual output of Winback's MCP server for that question, with the tool that produced it.
How do I win back cancelled subscribers of my RevenueCat app?
Winback reads your RevenueCat or Stripe events, writes each lost subscriber one personal message based on what they did in the app, attaches an offer only within the limits you set (maximum discount, offer length, wait after lapse, opted-in people only), and reports who came back. It covers three groups: cancelled, billing failed and trial ended unpaid. It never changes or cancels subscriptions and never charges your customers.

We lost 200 cancels, 80 billing failures and 300 expired trials this month at $9.99. What could a win-back bring back?
Estimate: 63 subscribers back, $629.37 a month recovered, $3,776.22 over 6 months, a Winback fee of $566.43, and $3,209.79 you keep. Return rates used: 20% of cancels, 10% of billing failures, 5% of expired trials. Published reactivation rates include people who return with no campaign, so treat this as an upper bound.

How long does Apple keep retrying a failed subscription payment?
App Store billing retry lasts up to 60 days. Grace periods are 3 or 6 days for weekly plans and 3, 16 or 28 days for monthly and longer plans.

Can I use Apple win-back offers, and how many cancelled subscribers come back anyway?
Apple win-back offers need iOS 18 or later and StoreKit 2, and can be shown on the App Store, in the app, in Settings and through a unique URL. About 20% of churned monthly subscribers and 5% of annual subscribers reactivate within a year.

What does Winback cost?
Pay on success has no monthly fee: 15% of the revenue from each subscriber who comes back after a Winback message, for their first 6 months back, and nothing if nobody returns. Founding apps: the first 10 apps pay 10% instead of 15%. The optional Win-back Sprint is $249 once, upfront by card: we plan, write and hand over one full campaign for your lapsed list within 7 days, refund the difference if it recovers less than $249 in 30 days, and the standard 15% then applies, minus the $249 already paid. The planner is free.

Common questions
Is it free?
Yes. The MCP server is free, needs no API key and no account, and the planner at winbackhq.com/planner/ is free. Pay on success costs 15% of the revenue from subscribers who come back, for their first 6 months back (10% for the first 10 apps), and nothing if nobody returns. The optional Win-back Sprint is $249 once, upfront by card.

In a chat, click the + button, open Connectors and switch Winback on. Claude's Free plan allows one custom connector. In Claude Code run: claude mcp add --transport http winback https://winbackhq.com/mcp
How do I use it in ChatGPT?
There is no ChatGPT directory listing for Winback. You can add it yourself today with developer mode, which OpenAI offers on the web for Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Education plans: Settings, Apps, Advanced settings, turn on Developer mode, then Create app, paste https://winbackhq.com/mcp and choose No Authentication. In a chat, pick Developer mode from the + menu and select the app.
What data does it read?
None of yours. The server answers questions about Winback, returns pricing and sourced Apple retention facts, and runs an estimate from the numbers you type in. It never connects to your RevenueCat, Stripe or App Store account.
Is the estimate a forecast?
No. It applies published reactivation rates and stated assumptions to your numbers, and those rates include people who return with no campaign. It is a rough size of the opportunity, not a forecast and not financial advice. The Apple facts link to their sources so you can check them.
Can I use it in my own agent or app?
Yes. Point any MCP client that supports streamable HTTP at https://winbackhq.com/mcp. It is read-only, needs no key, and is listed in the official MCP Registry as com.winbackhq/winback.
